A passion project of mine, Burst & Bloom is a personal creative endeavor focused on the idea of capturing typical beauty in atypical ways. While out on walks with my pup, Penny, I take spontaneous, shot from-the-hip photos of my neighborhood flora. 

I fell in love with the way this project made me see an ordinary task (walking the dog) in an extraordinary way. On each outing, I charged myself with finding at least one blooming plant to photograph. I then decided to challenge myself further by combining the pictures I had taken with my passion for design and created a book that showcases my favorite images layered with texture and color.
